Canoly Advertising Management Tool — Privacy Notice

This notice describes the Canoly internal advertising management tool and its current Meta Marketing API connection. It must be updated if the tool's actual data practices, providers, users, or storage change.

Who operates the tool

The tool is used by Canoly to prepare and manage its advertising. For privacy questions or data requests, contact support@canoly.com. Canoly's website privacy policy is available at https://www.canoly.com/policies/privacy-policy.

Information the tool may access

When an authorized person connects a Meta account, the tool may access the Meta advertising account, advertising campaign, ad set, ad creative, Page, and Instagram account information available under the permissions granted by that person. It may also access aggregate advertising performance data, such as impressions, spend, clicks, and conversions, and media or advertising copy selected by an authorized user.

The tool accesses only the information and capabilities made available by the user's Meta authorization and the connected account's permissions. Meta controls the information it makes available through its services and APIs.

How the information is used

Canoly uses this information to configure, review, manage, and measure its advertising, troubleshoot connections, and maintain records of authorized advertising actions. Advertising changes are made by authorized users or under their instructions.

Meta and other services

The tool communicates with Meta to authenticate access and retrieve or submit advertising information. Meta handles information on its own systems under its own terms and privacy policies. Information entered into or uploaded to other services used in the workflow is handled by those services under their respective terms and privacy policies.

Storage and security

With an authorized user's consent, the tool stores the Meta access token in the local macOS Keychain so it can reconnect to the advertising account. Access tokens may expire or be revoked; storing a token does not prevent this. The current advertising preparation tool stores selected configuration and Meta object identifiers in local files so that authorized users can review and resume work. Canoly should restrict access to devices, accounts, and files used for advertising management. The tool's storage and security practices will be reviewed and this notice updated if additional integrations or broader deployment are introduced.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain on the device until removed by an authorized user. An authorized user may stop using the tool, remove local records, and revoke the tool's access through the relevant Meta account or business settings. Revoking access does not automatically delete information retained separately by Meta. To request assistance with access or deletion, contact support@canoly.com.

Changes to this notice

Canoly may update this notice when the tool or its data practices change. The published version should include its effective date and be kept accessible to people who use the tool.
